Margaret Van Buren: MS, OTR/L
Owner and Lead Therapist Margie is a Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist, who graduated with honors from Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport,LA. She has over 25 years of clinical experience in pediatrics. Margie is SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Test) certified and has treated hundreds of children with sensory processing disorders. She has held certification as an Assistive Technology Practitioner through RESNA(Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America) and worked as a consultant for the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services Office of Education in Trenton NJ, where she provided Assistive Technology Assessments and training for children with disabilities. She also served on a therapeutic feeding team while working for the Burlington Court Cerebral Palsy Association in Mount Holly, NJ and has expertise in treating complex behavioral feeding disorders. Throughout her career, she has served as clinical supervisor for countless level I and level II fieldwork students from universities throughout the United States.
Miranda Barrett: MS, OTR/L
Miranda received a B.S in Biology from North Georgia College and State University and a M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University. Miranda has worked in clinical pediatric settings for 10 years. She has experience with the Handwriting Without Tears Program, Interactive Metronome, NeuroNet, and social skills groups. Her areas of interest include fine motor delays and sensory processing disorders.
Miranda enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and dogs. She enjoys participating in dance/fitness classes and crafting. She resides in Buford.
Heather L. Cox: MS, OTR/L, CFE
Heather is a licensed Occupational Therapist with extensive pediatric experience who has been with Aspire for 7 years. She routinely treats children with Autism, ADHD, behavioral and/or emotional regulation deficits, and developmental delays. She also carries additional certifications related to functional performance and orthopedic conditions. In addition to treating children within the clinical setting, two of her own children have special needs, giving her a unique inside perspective into the difficulties and challenges faced by families of exceptional children. Heather lives in Hoschton, Georgia with her family.
Alenya Mouton : M.Ed., CCC-SLP
Alenya earned her Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of West Georgia. She has also received certification of clinical competence by the American Speech and Hearing Association. Alenya earned a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from North Carolina A&T State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from the University of New Orleans. She began her career as a Speech Language Pathologist for Gwinnett County Public Schools and has expanded her skills by providing therapy in the pediatric setting with Aspire Pediatrics Therapy. Her primary focus is serving the pediatric and school-age population. Her experience includes but is not limited to children on the Autism spectrum, language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders and children who stutter. She enjoys learning new ways to increase effectiveness in therapy and watching her clients progress from milestone to milestone.
