Physical Therapy
Physical Therapists (PTs) are health care professionals who diagnose and manage individuals who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. PTs examine each child and develop a plan of care using treatment techniques to promote the child’s ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Achieving a more active life style helps build a child’s confidence and social interaction skills as well.
Sessions may include exercises or activities that focus on one or more of the following:
STRENGTH TRAINING
BALANCE TRAINING
COORDINATION
FLEXIBILITY
PAIN MANAGEMENT
INJURY PREVENTION
